Digital

A digital strategy is part of a winning campaign strategy. We deploy content across digital channels (i.e., Google/Facebook) to reach voters with uniquely targeted messages and content

Digital Strategy

A winning campaign must target voters at different stages of engagement. The voter engagement funnel looks at voters using the same approach and principles as a company looks at customers.  In the early months of a campaign, candidates might need to build awareness and reach. In later stages and toward Election Day, messaging will focus on delivering content and messaging to uniquely differentiate from other candidates.

Third Coast was one of the first in the political digital arena and we have designed and won dozens of digital only campaigns. We have also worked on 100s of successful campaigns advising on digital strategy as a standalone function.

Social Media Management

Websites. Facebook. Instagram. Social media connects you with voters in a two-way, online conversation. These owned media complement paid media efforts and allow you to scale your message in a cost effective way. Owned and paid media campaigns also drive voters to the campaign website where they can learn more about the candidate, sign-up for email lists, and provide a list for retargeting.

Third Cost can design and build your website and set up your social media channels. We can also manage the day-to-day to facilitate dialogue with voters.

Paid Media

Campaigns traditionally think of paid voter engagement as TV and direct mail. But, these are only two ways to reach voters and each has limitations. Digital can target voters based on their typologies and deliver unique messages to distinct voters.

The campaign strategy and planning phase details the unique voter segments, the messages that will best resonate with them and the channels where they can be reached. Paid media can target with a level of precision that TV, Radio, Billboards cannot match. All forms of paid media have a time and a place, but digital media is different because it is an ongoing effort.

Third Coast has managed thousands of political digital campaigns. We establish voter typologies, create and match content and messaging, and then deploy. We then manage day-to-day and make updates and optimizations.

HubSpot gives a great overview and primer on paid media as well as owned and earned.
